Three Week Intro to Pottery Class
This class can be booked for 1-2 people at a time, and consists of 3 one hour classes. You’ll need to reach out via our contact form to find a time that works for us to schedule your class (it will be scheduled during our normal open hours). Available for adults and kids alike, ages 5 and up.
Please fill out the contact form so we can find a time that works for us to schedule your classes! This will be during our open hours, most likely Friday evenings or Saturdays.
Classes will run for about 60-90 minutes. The first lesson will be on wheel throwing! We’ll throw 2-4 pieces depending how time allows. Hand building lessons are also available, let me know if you’d prefer to focus on this building method rather than wheel throwing.
The second class will focus on trimming your thrown pieces! This is done on the wheel and removes the excess clay left on the bottom once pieces have dried a bit. If we have extra time, we could also experiment with hand building during this time.
Lastly, we’ll glaze your work! This can look like dipping pieces in a glaze bucket, painting or layering different mediums, or a mixture of both. We can talk through all the options and I’ll help along the way!
After this intro class, you’re more than welcome to come back and use open studio time to make more work anytime!
